In 2014 Fred Degoulet, Benjamin Guigonnet, Hélias Millerioux and Robin Revest made the first ascent of Looking for the Void. This difficult new ice and mixed route takes a 900m line on the west face of Siula Chico (6265m) in the Cordillera Huayhuash, Peru. After acclimatisation, the team spend several days on the route, a steep, pyramidal wall of limestone with intermittent cascades of water ice. The film titled “looking for the void” was shown at Kendal and other large film festivals around Europe.
